Carole Ann Forde (8 June 1940) played the childish, yet loyal granddaughter of the Doctor, Susan Foreman. She played the first companion and the first one to leave the show, and in a dramatic and tearful way at that. Her career lasted from 1963-1964. However, she returned in 1983, to take part in the 20th anniversary celebrations, in the Doctor Who story, The Five Doctors where she was joined by Richard Hurndall instead of William Hartnell, the original actor.
She also returned to perform the Big Finish Productions, the Companion Chronicles.
