Edgar Allan Poe was a famous American poet and writer.
During a dinner party, which he was taken to, by Doctor Parsons and Doctor Wolffson, Poe was flabbergasted and slightly unnerved by a ram on a table in Mr R's House, the owner. He witnessed, a young girl, by the name of Abigail, conjure the powers of the dead and watched the ram's skull gain flesh. He watched as the First Doctor poured cognac over the ram, and subconsciously he pushed a candle towards the ram, which burnt to death. However, as she was connected, Abigail was burnt too. After the terrible night, Poe said his goodbyes and left for his house.
He made an account of the events and believed that as he'd done so, he had conjured the dead again using his words. He was later found dead in the same place, Baltimore in 1849. (The True and Indisputable Facts in the Matter of the Ram's Skull)
