Collinson was an accomplice of General Carrington who defended a warehouse from UNIT soldiers and almost killed Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart. While jailed in the UNIT Headquarters, the Doctor discovered he was a soldier. He was released by an unseen figure whom he then joined to capture the truck carrying Recovery 7.
