The Time Shadow was a creature lurking in the scientific base on the Planet of the Quiet Ones. It killed Miles and almost killed Jamie McCrimmon and Callaghan, however they were saved. Later, the Second Doctor realised that they were The Quiet Ones manifesting themselves to survive. (Shadow of Death)
